Our trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands will stay in my memory for a long time. The landscape with different types of lava, and the changing scenery with stunning views of volcanos, glaciers, water falls and geysers and lava deserts – both beautiful and scary.
Then a totally different scenery on the Faroe Islands, no volcanos and much more greenery. Travelling via the deepest tunnel connecting to of the Faroe Islands got us almost 150 m below the sea.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

The vulcano namned Hekla in the background. Dormant at the moment, the last eruption was in 2000. Still calm, but for how long?
