
The Eurasian Jay is very careful when approaching the feeder in the back garden. It sat for a while in the apple tree trying to decide if it was safe enough to hop down to the ground.

we used to see these regularly in our garden in the winter months, been a long time though since we last saw one. All changed when some of our neighbours got rid of their beech trees 😦

They do seem to lika more wooded areas. I see and above all hear them regularly when I take a walk in the woods, but more seldom see them in my back garden.
