Blue Spirit of the River

Kingfisher

I have been trying to catch the Kingfisher with my camera many times and it has always eluded me. Most shots show a blue blurry strike as it quickly flies past. The other day I had some luck as it decided to take a short rest ( a couple of seconds) on a branch. I was sitting on the opposite side of the river not to disturb them (there were two) as they probably has a nest near by.
